36 deputy civil surgeons, three deputy directors promoted in Telangana Health department

The Telangana government has issued orders promoting 36 Deputy Civil Surgeons and Civil Assistant Surgeons to the post of Civil Surgeon (General Line), and three Deputy Directors (Administration) to the post of Joint Director (Administration) under the Health, Medical and Family Welfare Department.

According to a Government Order (GO) issued by Health Secretary, Christina Z. Chongthu, on Monday (November 3, 2025), the promoted officers were posted across various government medical colleges, general hospitals, maternity hospitals, and offices of the Commissionerate of Health and Family Welfare.

Some of the key postings include Mohd Ibrahim as Civil Surgeon RMO at Sarojini Devi Eye Hospital, Hyderabad; B. Vijaya Nirmala, CH. Aruna Kumar, and K.S. Padmasri as Joint Directors in the office of the Commissioner of Health and Family Welfare;  Mudili Vasantha Rao as District Medical and Health Officer (DMHO) of Sangareddy, and D. Swarna Kumari as DMHO of Vikarabad.

Other appointees include K. Lalitha Devi as DMHO, Charminar Zone; B. Malliswari as DMHO, Khairatabad Zone; D. Rama Rao as DMHO, Khammam; Rathod Thukaram as DMHO, Bhadradri Kothagudem, and P. Venkata Ramana as DMHO, Suryapet. Several others have been appointed as Civil Surgeon RMOs at government hospitals and medical colleges across the State, including Karimnagar, Rajanna Sircilla, Nirmal, Jagitial, Kamareddy, and Yadadri Bhongir districts.

Additionally, another GO issued by the health secretary approved the promotion of three Deputy Directors (Administration) to the post of Joint Director (Administration) for the panel year 2024–25. The officers include N. Krishnaveni, posted as Joint Director (Administration) in the office of the Director of Medical Education (DME); Shweta Monga, posted as Joint Director (Administration) in the office of the Medical and Health Services Recruitment Board (MHSRB) and B. Manjunath Naik, appointed as Chief Information Officer, National Health Mission (NHM).
