Around 3,500 candidates appeared for an eligibility test conducted by the district police in Adilabad on Sunday to select eligible candidates for free coaching for police recruitment examinations.
The district police will provide free coaching to 300 eligible candidates preparing for recruitment to police constable and sub-inspector posts, according to a press release.
The candidates will be shortlisted based on their performance in the eligibility test.
Priority will be given to Adivasi youth from the district as part of an initiative to help them improve their preparedness and perform better in competitive police recruitment examinations, the release added.
Adilabad Superintendent of Police Akhil Mahajan visited the examination centres in the town and oversaw the smooth conduct of the eligibility test for free coaching.
