The health condition of 32 individuals who developed diarrhoea after consuming snacks prepared by a local vendor at Dugguduru village of Kajuluru mandal in Kakinada district is said to be stable, said Kakinada District Medical and Health Officer Dr.K. Narasimha Naik on Monday.

The incident occurred on June 28, when the 32 persons developed symptoms of diarrhoea a few minutes after consuming the snacks.

In an official statement, Dr.K. Narasimha said; “The 32 patients are out of danger and are being treated in the Dugguduru Primary Health Centre. A health survey is underway in the village.”

The Medical and Health Services along with the Food Safety officials have collected samples of the food items from the store of the accused.
