Kerala will have 244 centres for counting the votes polled in the 2025 local body elections, the State Election Commission said on Sunday. After the two-phased elections on December 9 and 11, the votes will be counted on December 13.

For the three-tier panchayats, the counting centres have been arranged at the block panchayat level, while the municipalities and Corporations will have centres of their own. Thiruvananthapuram (16), Kollam (16), Pathanamthitta (12), Alappuzha (18), Kottayam (17), Idukki (10), Ernakulam (28), Thrissur (24), Palakkad (20), Malappuram (27), Kozhikode (20), Kannur (20), Wayanad (7), and Kasaragod (9). In the districts, the elections are conducted under the supervision of the District Election Officers. These officers are also entrusted with the task of supervising the distribution of polling materials before the elections and their collection after the polling is over.

The State Election Commission has also issued guidelines for the operation of green protocol in the polling stations and all activities related to the elections.
