Two persons are suspected to have died in an elephant attack in Kerekatte range of Kudremukh Wildlife Division in Sringeri taluk of Chikkamagaluru district in Karnataka on October 31 morning.

The deceased have been identified as Umesh, 43, and Harish, 41, of Keregadde near Kerekatte. The incident occurred when they entered the forest.

Officials of the Forest Department of Kerekatte Range have reached the spot.
