Even as Visakhapatnam is all set to become the IT and AI hub of Andhra Pradesh, the 19-year-old demand for a direct train to Bengaluru, India’s Silicon Valley, remains unfulfilled.

With many IT giants investing in the Visakhapatnam region and several big-ticket projects in the pipeline, the necessity of a direct train connecting the two top IT destinations of the country is being felt more than ever before. The long-pending direct train service is now being seen as a critical economic necessity.
