At least 19 persons were injured as a tipper truck rammed a pick up van at Vaniampalayam near here on Friday.
Police said over 20 farm labourers from Villianur were traveling in the van for work. The van driver stopped the vehicle at Vaniampalayam when a speeding tipper truck, lost control and crashed into the vehicle.
The injured were admitted to the Government Villupuram Medical College and Hospital. A case has been registered.
