On August 27, one more drug peddler was caught from the same place with 5 kgs of marijuana worth ₹1.25 lakh.

Warangal action

In Warangal, coordinated action between the Eagle Team and the city’s law and order police led to multiple arrests. On August 28, three peddlers, including a woman, were caught transporting contraband through the Konark Express, and 32 kgs of marijuana worth ₹8 lakh was recovered.

On August 30, two drug peddlers were apprehended in Mulugu district, where 30 kgs of marijuana valued at ₹7.5 lakh was seized.

Sangareddy raids

In a separate operation on August 29, the EAGLE Sangareddy Team, assisted by Sangareddy Town Police, found an alprazolam manufacturing unit. The raid led to the seizure of 270 grams of alprazolam, 7.89 kg nordiazepam, raw materials, and equipment used for production. The haul was valued at ₹16.31 lakh.

Two persons — Goundla Srinivas Goud, 38, a repeat offender in Sangareddy district, with a prior NDPS case against him at Jinnaram police station in 2023, and Goundla Mallesham, 35, who ran a tiffin centre in Sangareddy town and is now accused in a narcotics-related crime — were arrested.
