The Wyra police on Friday (May 15) seized 128 kgs of dry ganja, valued approximately ₹64 lakh, and arrested three peddlers two from Odisha and one from Andhra Pradesh, near Wyra town in Khammam district.

Addressing the media, Wyra Assistant Commissioner of Police S. Sarangapani said a police team found three persons moving under suspicious circumstances at Somavaram village near Wyra on Friday morning. During a search, the police found 60 packets of ganja packed in five gunny bags from the possession of the trio. They were reportedly transporting the contraband from Malkangiri in Odisha to Tamil Nadu.

Those arrested were identified as 22-year-old Maniyal Bothra and 24-year-old Lakshman, both hailing from Odisha’s Malkangiri district, and 25-year-old Chitikala Sanyasi Naidu, from Nathavaram in Anakapalli district of Andhra Pradesh.
