₹20,000 fine imposed for unscientific waste management on firms in Wayanad

During an inspection conducted by the Wayanad District Enforcement Squad in Kaniyambetta panchayat area against the sale of single-use plastic carry bags, fines were imposed on various establishments on Sunday (April 19, 2026).

A fine of ₹10,000 each was collected from C.T.M Vegetables and Tara Kitchen Mart.

District Enforcement Squad leader K.K. Ranjini, squad member Vineetha George, enforcement officer K. Anoop, and Kaniyambetta panchayat health inspector Harshal Antony took part in the inspection.
