Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TGCHE) Chairman V. Balakista Reddy stressed that the country’s youth must combine academic learning with industry-relevant skills, digital literacy and problem-solving to bridge the education–employment gap.

Speaking at the IndiaSkills Competition 2025–26 – South Regional Competition here, he described IndiaSkills as a movement transforming potential into performance and praised Sector Skill Councils and industry partners for mentoring participants.

Affirming Telangana’s commitment to skill empowerment, Mr. Reddy said the government has modernised ITIs, Industry 4.0 programmes, curriculum reforms and inclusive workforce initiatives.

IndiaSkills Competition 2025–26, part of India’s largest national skills competition framework, is organised by the National Skill Development Corporation under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship.
