NTR District Joint Collector S. Ilakkiya appreciated the innovative efforts and ideas of youngsters after touring an exhibit, organised by the Ratan Tata Innovation Hub (RTIH) at the Collectorate in Vijayawada on Monday.
Important exhibits included Vishnu Assistive Technologies Private Limited’s prosthetic hand, which is over 60% less expensive than current models, and provides natural movement without the need for electronics or sensors, according to a press note from the district administration. The firm sought funds for widespread distribution as well as certification help.
SRM University-A.P.’s Team Skyworks demonstrated an autonomous drone last-mile delivery system that uses docking stations to distribute packages. The group asked the government for permission to conduct test flights and for assistance in scaling up the use of several drones. Maris Stella College, Vijayawada, showcased multiple social-impact products.
