Writer Vasundhara Bhupathi, 4 others conferred with Karnataka Sahitya Academy Honorary Award

In consideration of the remarkable service in the field of Kannada literature, writers Dr. Vasundhara Bhupathi, Prof. Shivaramaiah, and others have been honoured with Karnataka Sahitya Academy Honorary Award for the year 2025.

Writers including Chandrakanth Pokale, Chandrashekara Talya and S. Tukaram have also been conferred with the honorary award.

The awards were announced at an all-member meeting held on Wednesday, headed by L.N.Mukudraj, chairman of the Academy at Kannada Bhavana in Bengaluru.

Another 10 writers, including C.G. Lakshmipathi, Roopa Hassan, B.M. Basheer, have been awarded the Sahityashree award for 2025.
