Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Tuesday (November 4, 2025) announced that the government will felicitate Indian women cricketers Jemimah Rodrigues, Smriti Mandhana, and Radha Yadav and will award them a cash prize.

Mr. Fadnavis said, “These three cricketers hail from Maharashtra. We will also felicitate the entire women’s cricket team whenever it is in Mumbai. The Cabinet has passed a resolution congratulating the Indian Women’s Cricket team today.”

On November 2, 2025, the Indian women’s cricket team won its maiden World Cup title, defeating South Africa in the final at Navi Mumbai.
