Prime Minister Narendra Modi needed women’s reservation as a ruse to bring in delimitation to defeat the DMK in Tamil Nadu, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge alleged on Sunday.

Speaking at a joint election campaign with DMK leader and Chief Minister M.K. Stalin in Hosur, Mr. Kharge said the Constitution Amendment Bill had nothing to do with women’s reservation, for which a Bill had already been passed with the support of the Opposition in 2023.
