Woman killed after BMTC EV bus knocks her down

A 58-year-old woman was killed after she was knocked down by a BMTC electric bus on Saturday.

The deceased has been identified as Mala, resident of Hampi Nagar.

She was crossing the road when the bus heading towards Vijayanagar from Yeshwantpur knocked her down. She died on the spot at Hampi Nagar bus stand.

The Vijayanagar traffic police have registered a case against the driver for rash and negligent driving. The police seized the bus.
