Tamil Nadu Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar on Saturday (July 4, 2026) said if people had any expectations of him or the State government, they could bring them to his attention, and he would work with the government to find a solution.

Speaking at a book release function at Lok Bhavan, he said: “Lok Bhavan is always with the people. Don’t feel hesitant. You can come here and share your problems. I will do whatever is possible from my side to resolve them.”

“I will certainly contact the Chief Minister and share with him the plight of our brothers and sisters. I will tell him this is to be done. We will work towards a solution. If you have certain expectations of the Governor and the government, you can certainly tell us. You can come here [Lok Bhavan]. We will do it together,” Mr. Arlekar said.

His remarks came a few days after he wanted to hold a “review” meeting with officials at the Madurai Circuit House. However, Minister for Energy Resources and Law R. Nirmalkumar said officials were not obliged to organise or attend meetings called by authorities such as Governors.
