Will work for upliftment of poor brahmins, says APBWC director

BJP State Media Co-convener Velagaleti Gangadhar assumed charge as director of the Andhra Pradesh Brahmin Welfare Corporation (APBWC) at the corporation office in Gollapudi, in the presence of corporation chairman Buchi Ram Prasad, on Sunday.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Gangadhar said that he would work under the guidance of the chairman to promote the welfare and development of Brahmins, particularly priests and ‘purohits’ across the State. He stated that through the corporation’s credit society, educational schemes for Brahmin students, self-employment programmes for youth, and group loans for women will be implemented more effectively to ensure economic empowerment and social stability.

Mr. Gangadhar said he would strive to further strengthen and expand the corporation’s welfare activities for the upliftment of poor Brahmins. 

Expressing gratitude, he thanked BJP State president P.V.N. Madhav, party general secretary (Organisation) Madhukar, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan, BJP Guntur district president Cherukuri Tirupatirao, and all leaders who extended direct and indirect support.

The assumption ceremony was attended by corporation managing director Dorababu, manager Srinivas, credit society officials, BJP NTR district president Adduri Sriram, BJP State Publicity and Literature convener Palapati Ravikumar, Durga Malleswara Swamy Devasthanam Trust Board members Avvaru Bullabbayi, Pittala Govinda, Jana Sena district secretary Phani Sharma, Sridhar Babu, Emani Madhav Reddy, Taduvai Ramakrishna, Vasa Pallaparaju, Shankara Prasad, Taraka Ramarao, Jandhyala Sai Radhakrishna, Pratap Prasad, Madhu and others, who felicitated Gangadhar on the occasion.
