Water supply to be disrupted in city wards

Water supply to several city wards will be hit for a few days after a major pipeline leak was detected near Ambalamukku Junction, the Kerala Water Authority (KWA) has said. The leak was found on a 900 mm pre-stressed concrete pipeline, the KWA said, adding that repairs are in progress.

Water supply to the following wards will be hit totally till March 17 and partially till March 23: Kazhakootam, Chandavila, Kattayikonam, Sreekaryam, Cheruvaickal, Chellamanglam, Chempazhanthi, Powdikonam, Njandoorkonam, Sainik School, Chenkottukonam, Karyavattam, Pangappara, Pallithura, Attipra, Pundkadavu, Akkulam, Kulathur, Alathara, Kuzhivila, Kesavadasapuram, Edavakkode, Pattom, Ulloor and Muttada.

KWA has requested consumers to take necessary precautions.
