Watch: Indore water tragedy sparks protests, officials suspended

More than 1,400 people have fallen ill with vomiting and diarrhoea over the past nine days, with women leading demonstrations against alleged negligence by municipal officials. Laboratory tests confirmed the water supply was contaminated, prompting authorities to warn residents to boil all pipeline water. While officials have reported 10 deaths, residents and opposition leaders claim higher numbers. Following the outrage, the Madhya Pradesh government suspended senior municipal officials and transferred the Indore Municipal Commissioner.
