Indian opposition leaders have strongly criticised the Narendra Modi government for its silence after coordinated strikes by the United States and Israel that reportedly killed Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Parties including Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi have said that not condemning the attack or expressing condolences undermines India’s credibility and raises questions about its foreign policy, urging a parliamentary debate and clearer articulation of India’s stance.
