District Collector M. Abhishikth Kishore on Wednesday directed officials to make comprehensive arrangements for the visit of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu to Visakhapatnam on June 5 and June 8.

At a review meeting held at the Collectorate with City Police Commissioner Shankhabrata Bagchi, the Collector said: “The Chief Minister, along with Union Ministers, will participate in the National Conference on Seafood Exports on June 5 and later attend a review meeting on the Visakhapatnam Economic Region (VER).”

According to the schedule released by the district administration, the Chief Minister will arrive at the Coastal Battery helipad on Beach Road at around 10.50 a.m. and proceed to the conference venue. He is also expected to meet public representatives and officials during his visit.

On June 8, Mr. Naidu is scheduled to visit the Centre of Excellence for Energy Transition (CoEET) near Rushikonda and will participate in various programmes there. He will later travel to Tarluvada to participate in the foundation-stone laying ceremony for the APIs Technologies semiconductor unit.

Mr. Kishore instructed officials to ensure proper coordination among departments, set up help desks at the airport and railway station, put in place adequate security arrangements, and facilitate the smooth issuance of delegate and VIP passes.

Later in the day, Mr. Kishore and Mr. Bagchi inspected the Coastal Battery and Rushikonda helipads, the conference venue at Novotel, the CoEET facility and the APIs Technologies project site as part of the Advanced Security Liaison exercise.

District in-charge Minister Dola Sree Bala Veeranjaneya Swamy is also scheduled to attend the Chief Minister’s engagements on June 5.
