Efftronics Systems Private Limited Managing Director D. Ramakrishna on Tuesday (September 09, 2025) underlined the importance of indigenous products and application design to reduce dependency on imports.

Speaking at a press conference ahead of the National Semiconductor Technology Symposium 2025, scheduled to be held from September 11 to 13, 2025, at VIT-A.P. University in Amaravati, he stressed on the need for large-scale efforts in semiconductor-driven innovations to create high-value jobs in India and propel the nation towards the vision of Viksit Bharat. “Just as Prahlada said Hari is everywhere, today, semiconductor chips are everywhere, in fact, their deployment worldwide is already 40 times more than the human population,” he pointed out.

The symposium is being jointly organised by VIT-A.P. University, Efftronics Systems Pvt. Ltd., Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) – Andhra Pradesh, and the IT Association of Andhra Pradesh (ITAAP).

Vice Chancellor, VIT-A.P. University S.V. Kota Reddy highlighted the need for the symposium in the present context. He explained how the three-day event will provide much-needed exposure to faculty, students, research scholars, and industry professionals through a series of keynotes, technical sessions, and hands-on workshops. He emphasised that India must accelerate the development of capabilities in semiconductor applications design and chip design, in order to meet the demands of the future.

Vice Chairman, CII Andhra Pradesh, Narendra Kumar said that CII Andhra Pradesh had always been at the forefront of initiatives to accelerate capability development in India.

President of IAAP A. Indrajit said that such forums would create awareness on emerging opportunities and help stakeholders understand future prospects and directions.

They collectively urged academic faculty, students, and the local industrialists to actively participate in the symposium and take advantage of this unique opportunity to engage with national and global experts in semiconductor technologies.
