Virudhunagar fire unit accident: CM Stalin announces solatium

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin on Wednesday expressed shock and grief over accident at fireworks unit near Alangulam in Virudhunagar.

In a statement, he extended his condolences and announced a solatium of ₹4 lakh to kin of B. Gowri, who was charred to death in the incident.

Mr. Stalin also announced a compensation of ₹1 lakh to one person who sustained severe injuries and getting treatment and ₹50,000 to five persons who sustained minor injuries and ordered for the amount to be released from Chief Minister’s Public Relief Fund.
