Violinists M. Lalitha and M. Nandini were honoured with the title of Thamizh Isai Vendar at the inauguration of the 28th Thamizh Isai Festival of Karthik Fine Arts (KFA) at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan in Mylapore. 

Industrialist Nalli Kuppuswamy Chetti said that the KFA was known for excellence in organisation of events. He appreciated the organisation for giving importance to stage plays and holding a theatre festival April every year and conducting the Thamizh Isai Festival every year. 

KFA president S. N. Srikanth said that the KFA had crossed 50 years of service to the fine arts. The organisation continues to be active conducting over 300 programmes per year including monthly programmes for upcoming artists.

Carnatic vocalist Neyveli R. Santhanagopalan in his felicitations, thanked KFA for encouraging young artists with awards.
