Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation is one of the newly-formed Corporations in Telangana, comprising Malkaigiri, Uppal and L.B. Nagar Zones. Its head office is in the premises of HMDA building, Tarnaka.

Orders were issued on Wednesday (February 11, 2026) splitting the newly-restructured Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation into Malkajgiri, Cyberabad Municipal Corporations and reorganised GHMC. The Government transferred IAS officers and appointed them to new posts, including as Commissioners of the new Corporations.
