Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay on Monday congratulated athlete Vithya Ramraj on winning a bronze medal in the 400m hurdles at the Asian Games and announced a cash prize of ₹30 lakh.
In a social media post, he said Ms. Ramraj had broken P.T. Usha’s record, set at the 1984 Asian Games, describing it as a significant achievement. “Her achievement will remain a source of encouragement to women and youth in Tamil Nadu,” he added.
