Victoria College alumni launches career initiative for students

Victorian Botany Alumni Association (VIBA), the alumni group of Botany department of Government Victoria College, Palakkad, launched a unique programme for student capacity development and employment generation here last week.

The programme was devised in collaboration with the State government’s Vijnana Keralam initiative. The beneficiaries were chosen from Government Victoria College and Mercy College in Palakkad, and NSS Colleges of Ottappalam and Nenmara.

Vijnana Keralam district coordinator Y. Kalyana Krishnan inaugurated the programme. Apsara Skill Park managing director Vishnu Priya led a session.

College principal in charge Sindhu S.L. presided over the function. Sarojini B. Menon memorial endowment instituted by VIBA patron Mohan Menon was given away on the occasion. Botany department head A.R. Rasmi and VIBA president Sandeep spoke.
