Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) president S. Ramadoss on Wednesday (September 24, 2025) said the Vanniyar Sangam, the parent body of the PMK, would organise protests in all district headquarters across the State in the first week of December, demanding the immediate implementation of a 10.5% internal reservation for Vanniyars in education and jobs.

Speaking to reporters at his Thailapuram residence near Tindivanam, Mr. Ramadoss said that students and those below 30 years of age would participate in the protests, while those above 30 years would make the necessary arrangements for demonstrations across the State.

A seven-member committee, led by former president G.K. Mani and comprising Vanniyar Sangam president Pu. Tha. Arulmozhi and Salem West MLA R. Arul, had been constituted to decide the mode of protest. Mr. Ramadoss said the real face of those who were “claiming to be the PMK” had been exposed after their expulsion from the party.
