Over 150 members of the Bharat Vikas Parishat celebrated the 150 years of Vande Mataram, the national song, by singing it in a chorus on the Veera Soudha premises in Belagavi on Wednesday.

Veera Soudha was the venue of the All India Congress Committee national convention that was chaired by Mahatma Gandhi in 1924.

They also sang some patriotic songs to commemorate the Republic Day, said a release.

Bharat Vika Parishat president Vinayak More, Akshata More, Swati Ghodekar and others were present.
