If your packet of Aavin milk has been delayed, experts and unions say that it is majorly due to the lack of supervision, non-implementation of approved manpower checklists, and maximum dependence on outsourced labourers in the milk major’s dairies.

“Casual labourers are used in all dairy operations such as receiving milk, quality checks, packaging, tubs and finally loading in supply vehicles. Private dairies too utilise contract labourers but such instances of delays in supply are not frequent. They might witness such incidents during festivals. But the situation would be deftly handled by bringing in another manpower contractor. Even though Aavin has different manpower contractors for various tasks, lack of supervision is a major issue,” explained a milk industry expert.
