The ICAR–Indian Institute of Spices Research (ICAR-IISR), Kozhikode, will organise the third edition of ‘Udhayam’, an entrepreneurship fair and agricultural expo, on February 5.

A release said on Tuesday that the expo would focus on promoting value addition and strengthening market linkages for small-scale agricultural enterprises. Manoj Samuel, Director, Centre for Water Resources Development and Management, would open the expo at 10 a.m. Around 100 micro-and-small entrepreneurs from Kozhikode district and adjoining regions will participate.

Planting materials and agricultural inputs developed by the ICAR-IISR and the Kerala Agricultural University would be made available for sale. Saplings of ‘IISR Chandra’, a high-yielding black pepper variety developed by ICAR-IISR, would also be made available to farmers. The exhibition will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and the entry would be free, the release added.
