A differently abled booth level officer (BLO) was brutally assaulted at Pallikunnu in Kannur on Monday evening after a group of youth accused him of not giving way to their two-wheeler.

Ratheesh, 44, BLO of booth 74 in Kuthuparamba and office assistant at Pallikunnu Government Higher Secondary School, was accompanied by his wife when he came under attack near the Superintendent Gate. Two youth on a motorcycle allegedly assaulted him in front of his wife and child.
