Two persons were killed after the motorcycle they were on rammed a tree at Nallarasanpettai near Koliyanur on Thursday (September 25, 2025) night.
According to the police, K. Kubendhiran, 21, a college student, and his friend S. Karthik, 21, of Villupuram, were on the way to Koliyanur. They were approaching the Koliyanur intersection when a motorist abruptly tried crossing the road.
The rider lost control of the vehicle and hit a roadside tree. In the impact, Kubendhiran and Karthik were thrown off their motorcycle and died on the spot. The bodies were shifted to the Government Villupuram Medical College and Hospital.
The Valavanur police have registered a case.
