Aryan’s father, mother and elder brother are all engineers, and with their inspiration, he too decided to pursue Computer Science Engineering (CSE) at IIT-Bombay. Manu’s father and mother are also engineers, and he has decided to pursue CSE at the same institution.

IIT-Roorkee released the JEE-Advanced 2026 results on Monday. However, this year too, no students from Karnataka have made it to the top 10 list.

Sharing his happiness with The Hindu, Aryan said, “It was really challenging, but I am very happy that I could make it. I secured a score of 310/360.”

“Entering the IIT was my childhood dream and it comes true now. I secured 94.8% in class 12. Every day I used to study for 6 hours. Then, I slept for 6 to 7 hours. I would go and play cricket every day too. Apart from that, travelling and watching OTT content were also part of my routine,” he said.

Manu, who scored 310/360 in this year JEE (Advanced), said, “I am planning to join IIT-Bombay for its CSE, and plan to work in the field of engineering.”

A total of 1,79,694 candidates appeared in both papers 1 and 2 in JEE (Advanced) 2026, held on May 17. In this exam, 56,880 candidates have qualified. Out of the total qualified candidates, 10,107 are female candidates.

Shubham Kumar of IIT-Delhi zone is the top ranker in the CRL. He obtained 330 out of 360 marks. Arohi Deshpande of IIT-Delhi zone is the top-ranked female candidate with CRL 77. She obtained 280 out of 360 marks.
