Tumakuru man’s death in police custody to be probed by CID: Home Minister

Home Minister G. Parameshwara on Friday announced that the probe into suspicious death of a man in Tumakuru while under police detention will be handed over to the Criminal Investigation Department.

Kantharaju, 50, died at Huliyaru police station on Thursday, hours after he was picked up along with four others on allegations that he was gambling with a group during Ugadi festivities.
