The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) on Tuesday unveiled an extensive plan to manage the massive influx of devotees expected for the Vaikunta Dwara Darshan at the Tirumala temple of Lord Venkateswara from December 30 to January 8. In line with its priority of ensuring smooth access for common pilgrims, it has introduced a series of measures governing ticketing, queue management and special entry provisions for the 10-day festival period.

For the peak days, December 30, 31 and January 1, coinciding with Vaikunta Ekadasi, Vaikunta Dwadasi and New Year, the darshan will be regulated exclusively through the Electronic Dip system. Families of up to 4 members can register under the 1+3 quota between November 27 and December 1 through the TTD website, mobile app or the Andhra Pradesh government’s WhatsApp bot. The automated draw of the tickets will be announced on December 2. WhatsApp applicants can register by texting Govinda or Hi to the official number and completing Aadhaar-based verification. Each Aadhaar and mobile number can be used only once.

As part of streamlining the crowd flow, TTD has cancelled ₹300 SED and Srivani Darshan tickets for the first 3 days, and no offline Srivani tickets will be issued during the entire period. SSD tokens in Tirupati will remain suspended from December 30 to January 8. From January 2 to 8, Sarva Darshan will be offered directly through Vaikuntham Queue Complex–2 without tokens. Online booking for 1,000 daily Srivani and 15,000 daily SED tickets for these 7 days will open on December 5.

All privileged formats of darshan for senior citizens, infants, persons with disabilities, defence personnel and NRIs stand cancelled during the 10-day period. Local residents will be accommodated on January 6, 7 and 8 under a separate quota, with tokens to be released on December 10. VIP Break Darshan will be restricted solely to self-reporting protocol dignitaries, while all Arjita Sevas remain suspended.

About 125 donor families who have contributed ₹1 crore and above will be extended the darshan privilege from December 30 to January 8 daily, and those who have contributed ₹1 lakh to ₹99 lakh shall get 1,000 slots on December 30 and 31 besides 2,000 slots daily from January 1 to 8, bookable online from December 5.
