The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) on Monday (January 26, 2026) embarked on a sweeping reform agenda anchored in transparency, technology, and policy-driven governance to reaffirm its commitment to top-tier pilgrim services.

Addressing the 77th Republic Day celebrations at Gokulam Guest House in Tirumala, Additional Executive Officer Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary on Monday said that the constitutional spirit of strong institutions and adaptive systems was guiding the TTD’s transformation.

Unfurling the national flag, he extended Republic Day greetings to employees and devotees before outlining landmark initiatives undertaken over the past 18 months.

Key among them are comprehensive policy reforms in the Annaprasadam wing and the Cottage Donation Scheme, with similar structured policies being readied across departments.

Highlighting procurement reforms, Mr. Chowdary announced a unified policy covering products, processes, contracts, cancellations and blacklisting, alongside a shift to a fully portal-driven procurement system to enhance transparency and curb human intervention.

He said that mega religious events like Brahmotsavams, Vaikuntha Ekadasi and Ratha Saptami were conducted successfully through inter-departmental coordination, followed by systematic post-event reviews. Feedback mechanisms via WhatsApp, IVRS, and calls revealed high percentage devotee satisfaction, including near-universal approval of Annaprasadam and laddu quality.

He said that technology-led initiatives from an AI-powered command control centre to QR code-based footwear counters, along with purity, accountability, and devotee welfare, would remain central to TTD’s mission of keeping Tirumala among the world’s finest spiritual destinations.
