A tribal documentation camp will be held at Nilambur on July 11 to provide essential documents and services to the tribespeople living in Nilambur forests and forest fringes. The camp is being planned at Government Manavedan School.

A meeting held at Perinthalmanna on Saturday (July 4, 2026) chalked out the plans for the camp. Sub-Collector Sakshi Mohan presided over the meeting.

Officials said that the camp aimed to deliver multiple services under one roof, including birth, caste and income certificates, Aadhaar services, bank account opening, voter ID, ration card, MGNREGA job cards, Unique Health ID (UHID), and access to specialised medical examinations.

To ensure smooth arrangements, departmental heads were appointed as nodal officers.

Ms. Mohan said a review meeting of nodal officers and a separate meeting of the organising committee would be held on Tuesday (July 7, 2026) at Nilambur.
