Trent share price: Tata Group stock falls over 8% post third quarter business update, check details

Trent share price: The stock of the Zudio and Westside-parent Trent opened gap down with a loss of -4.73 per cent today.

Mumbai:

Shares of Tata group firm Trent on Tuesday faced selling pressure, tumbling over 8 per cent. The stock opened with a gap down with a loss of 4.73 per cent today at Rs 4,219.90 against the previous close of Rs 4,429.45 on the BSE It dipped further to touch the intraday low of Rs 4,060.65, representing a fall of 8.33 per cent. Last seen, the scrip was trading with a loss of 7.03 per cent at Rs 4,118, and the market cap of the company stood at Rs 1,46,389.74. At the National Stock Exchange (NSE), the stock opened at Rs 4,208.30 against the previous close of Rs 4,429.80. It later touched the intraday high of Rs 4,208.30 and the intraday low of Rs 4,060. 

What’s behind the fall of Trent shares?

Shares of the Tata Group retail firm Trent are under pressure following the company’s third-quarter business update. The company has reported a 17 per cent growth in standalone revenue to Rs 5,220 crore in the third quarter ended December 31. 

The company recorded standalone revenue of Rs 4,466 crore in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year, Trent Ltd said in a regulatory filing.

As of December 31, 2025, the company’s store portfolio included 278 Westside, 854 Zudio (including 4 in the UAE) and 32 stores across other lifestyle concepts, it added.

For the nine months ended December 31, 2025, standalone revenue was Rs 14,604 crore against Rs 12,368 crore in the year-ago period, up 18 per cent, the filing said.

Trent share price history

The stock has yielded a positive return of 2378.16 per cent in 10 years. In five and three years, the scrip has gained 507.91 per cent and 229.40 per cent. However, the stock has corrected 4.28 per cent in on a year-to-date (YTD) basis as against the gain of 0.07 per cent by the benchmark index. The stock has declined by 41.21 per cent over the past year.
