TPCC names ministers as screening panel chiefs for civic polls

HYDERABAD

Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president Mahesh Kumar Goud, on Thursday, appointed 14 Ministers and a Government Adviser as chairpersons of parliamentary constituency-wise screening committees for the upcoming municipal elections in the State.

Former Minister and Adviser to Government P. Sudarshan Reddy was named as screening panel chief for Adilabad. The Ministers named as heads of the panel are: Jupally Krishna Rao (Peddapalli), Tummala Nageswara Rao (Karimnagar), N. Uttam Kumar Reddy (Nizamabad), Md. Azharuddin (Zaheerabad), G. Vivek Venkataswamy (Medak), Komatireddy Venkat Reddy (Malkajgiri), D. Sridhar Babu (Chevella), Damodar Raja Narasimha (Mahabubnagar), V. Srihari Mudiraj (Nagarkurnool), Adluri Laxman Kumar (Nalgonda), D. Anasuya Seethakka (Bhongir), Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy (Warangal), Ponnam Prabhakar (Mahabubabad) and Konda Surekha (Khammam).

The party also named some TPCC office-bearers and MLAs as convenors of the screening panels.

Star campaigners

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, AICC in-charge Meenakshi Natarajan and Mr. Goud have been named as star campaigners. Several other Ministers, Congress Working Committee special invitee Challa Vamshichand Reddy and former MP and ex-PCC chief V. Hanumantha Rao would also campaign.
