TN Elections 2026 | Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Ajith Kumar and others cast their votes

Polling for the crucial Tamil Nadu Assembly elections began across all 234 constituencies on April 23 (Thursday). Amid tight security measures, many A-list film stars, actors, directors, and other technicians cast their votes at polling booths across the state. 

Earlier in the day, actor Ajith caused a frenzy as fans mobbed him when he arrived at his polling station in Thiruvanmiyur, Chennai, to register his vote.

Meanwhile, Superstar Rajinikanth arrived with his daughter and film producer Soundarya Rajinikanth at a polling booth in Stella Maris School in Chennai to cast his vote. Actor-politician Kamal Haasan and his daughter, actor and singer Shruti Haasan, cast their votes at a polling booth in Alwarpet, Chennai.

Several actors, including Vikram, Dhanush, Sivakarthikeyan, Prabhu, Vikram Prabhu, Sasikumar, Arun Vijay, Sneha, Prasanna, Gautham Karthik, and Jai, registered their votes. Directors, including Sudha Kongara, Atlee and Pa Ranjith, were also seen casting their votes. More actors from Kollywood are expected at polling stations across the city to cast their votes
