With the election campaign heat now faded, Thrissur is swiftly slipping into its most vibrant mood of the year—pooram fever. The city now turns its gaze to the much-awaited Thrissur Pooram, which begins on April 20 with the ceremonial Kodiyettam, ushering in days of rhythm, ritual, and dazzling spectacle.

The main flag hoisting ceremonies will take place at the two principal participant temples—Thiruvambady and Paramekkavu—between 11 a.m. and 11.30 a.m.
