In a daylight robbery, armed assailants stormed into a jewellery shop in Karimnagar and fired at the staff, injuring three of them before decamping with gold ornaments on Sunday (May 3, 2026).

According to sources, five miscreants entered into the PMJ Jewels Boutique at Jyothinagar near the district court under the guise of customers at around 11 a.m. They opened fire at the staff before fleeing the scene with booty.

It is suspected to be the handiwork of an inter-State gang of robbers as the armed assailants executed the daring daylight robbery in the heart of the town after apparently carrying out a recce.
