The Sanjaynagar Police have arrested three men for allegedly robbing a retired Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) at knifepoint on September 1.

The accused have been identified as Syed, 30, Mohammad Salman, 20, and Irfan, 23, all residents of R.T. Nagar and D.J. Halli. The police have also recovered the stolen jewellery.

On September 1, retired ACP H. Subbanna was returning home from his morning walk when the suspects intercepted him near the Veterinary College in Hebbal, north Bengaluru. They allegedly threatened him with a knife and injured him when he tried to resist.

Subbanna later filed a complaint with the Sanjaynagar Police. Investigators reviewed CCTV camera footage from the area, which provided crucial leads and eventually resulted in the arrest of the suspects.
