Three engineering students of a private university, located at Amaravati, drowned in the sea at Vodarevu beach, in Chirala of Bapatla district on Sunday. Two more were missing at sea.

The deceased were identified as Sathwik, Manideep and Saketh. Police are searching for Gowtham and Somesh, who went missing.

The students went to the beach for an outing and entered the waters. They were carried away by the high tides, said local people.
