People in the urban districts of Telangana experienced colder weather conditions as the minimum temperatures dropped to less than 10℃. The lowest in Ranga Reddy was 7.4℃, recorded in Serlingampally, and 8.8℃ in Uppal of Medchal Malkajgiri between Thursday (January 8, 2026) and Friday mornings. In Hyderabad, the minimum temperature was 11.2℃ in Maredpally, according to Telangana Development Planning Society (TGDPS).

The lowest temperature in the State was 5.6℃ in Kohir of Sangareddy, followed by 6.0℃ in Tiryani of Kumaram Bheem Asifabad and 7.4℃ in Rangareddy. This winter, the lowest of 4.5℃ was recorded in December.

The minimum temperature in the State is likely to be 2℃ to 4℃ below the normal during the next two days, according to India Meteorological Department’s weather bulletin issued on Thursday. “Mist or hazy conditions are very likely to prevail during morning or night hours,” as per the Department’s forecast for Hyderabad and its surrounding areas for 48 hours.
