Telangana’s forts, palaces, forests, rivers, lakes, hills and modern luxury hotels were pitched as places for world-class wedding destinations. Tourism Minister Jupally Krishna Rao called upon wedding planners to see Telangana not just as a State, but as a living culture with a new perspective, and introduce it not only in India but also internationally.

At the South Indian Wedding Planners Congress held in Hyderabad on Sunday (September 14, 2025), he said that plans would be made to promote the details of destinations across the State. Special FAM (Familiarization) tours would be organized to introduce the wonderful wedding destinations of the State to the industry. He said that the Tourism Department is moving forward with the slogan “You think, we will implement” and that the wedding industry in India is growing rapidly and Telangana is ready to play a key role in it.
