Telangana Jagruthi president K. Kavitha on Wednesday (April 15, 2026) said the voice of the people of Telangana could not be diluted under the guise of delimitation [of Lok Sabha constituencies], asserting that the State’s proportional representation must be safeguarded.

Maintaining that the organisation’s stand was “non-negotiable”, she said Telangana and other southern States, which had led the country in economic growth and population control, should not face political disadvantage. “They must be rewarded for their progress, not punished with disenfranchisement,” she said.
