Telangana sanctions ₹13 crore tourism project for Mattapalli temple, boating facility planned

The Telangana government has accorded administrative sanction of ₹13 crore for the development of tourist facilities and a boating activity at the Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple in Mattapalli, Huzurnagar constituency of Suryapet district. The approval was granted through an order issued by Special Chief Secretary A. Vani Prasad.

According to the order, the Telangana Tourism Development Corporation (TGTDC) informed the government that, following a request from the Minister for Irrigation, Civil Supplies and other departments, its engineering team inspected the temple site and prepared estimates amounting to ₹13 crore for the proposed tourism development works.

Based on the proposal submitted by the Managing Director of TGTDC, the government approved the administrative sanction for the project. The funds will be utilised for the development of tourism infrastructure and the introduction of boating facilities at the temple, which is located on the banks of the Krishna River and is a prominent pilgrimage destination in the region.
